1. Well, I have to disagree with you, when you say "nobody in the Eastern bloc can afford electric cars".
I live in Romania and I just want to share those informations (from our National Institute of Statistics):
- 2019: the market share for electric cars was 4.18%
- 2020: the market share for electric cars was 7.12%
- 2021: the market share for electric cars was 15.53%
- 2022: the market share for electric cars is expected to go over 25%, which means that one of four new cars which go on the roads in Romania, is electric.
Note*- in first 3 months of 2022, the market share for electric cars was allready grown to 19.11 % (!!!)
2. I also have to disagree with you when you say "low government subsidies" (!!!).
I ordered in March an E-Tech (Equilibre EV60 220CP + Confort pack) which cost me 39,000 euros. But i got 11,700 euros (!!!) from government, as subsidies, and other couple of bonuses from Renault, which lowered the price of the car to only 22,000 euros. That all i have to pay for my new brand Renault Megane Etech.
So, to sum: i got 17.000 Euros discounts from The Government of Romania and Renault. Now, do you think that electric cars in "Eastern bloc" are "far too expensive"?
3. I recommand you to check PlugShare map for sharging stations marked on Romania teritory. You will be amazed
That's right MeganE2022, but in the Eastern bloc you would have a good chance of selling your car (privately) the demand for diesel vehicles is very high.
Nobody in the Eastern bloc can afford electric cars, far too expensive and very few charging stations. They don't want e-cars, low government subsidies.
it's just a tip from me!
